To us, that means that we have the responsibility of designing homes that respond thoughtfully to the people who live in them, the places they're built, and the generations that will follow.

As a collaborative design-build practice, we specialize in creating high-performance homes and ecological renovations across Prince Edward County, the Bay of Quinte, and Kingston regions.

We are Ontario's only dedicated rammed earth builders, with two decades of experience in sustainable construction and rammed earth and sustainable material driven design.

Aerecura was founded on the belief that the way we build matters.

Building well takes
more than one person.

At Aerecura, collaboration is part of our culture. We believe the best homes are created when designers, project managers, craftspeople, and builders work together—sharing ideas, challenging assumptions, and learning from one another throughout the process.

That collaborative spirit shapes not only how we approach our projects, but how we support one another, work with our clients, and continue growing as a team.

It's an approach that has been part of Aerecura since the very beginning—and one that continues to guide the way we work today.

Sylvia Cook
Founder, CEO

Sylvia co-founded Aerecura with a vision to build homes in a way hat felt more connected to their environment — homes shaped by durability, sustainability, and a deeper consideration of how people live within them.

That vision led Sylvia to build her own rammed earth home—the first of its kind in Ontario—and continues to shape Aerecura's approach to thoughtful design and long-term building performance.

These days, Sylvia is more off site than on, contributing through her dedicated advocacy for environmental responsibility, inclusivity, and thoughtful decision-making within our shared built landscape.

We are a collaborative practice

Aerecura is supported by a diverse group of skilled craftspeople who bring experience, creativity, and problem-solving to each of our builds.

Our crew is central to the quality of our work and to the atmosphere on our job sites, where respect, communication, and collaboration are part of the daily process.

Built on inclusion

Aerecura takes great pride in being a women-founded construction company (read more about our foundations here).

We are committed to creating a workplace where everyone — employees, tradespeople, and clients — feels respected, supported, and able to contribute fully.

This approach shapes not only how we work internally, but every project we take on.

Building better, together.

We believe building better extends beyond the homes we create. Through workshops, educational outreach, and conversations within our community, we share what we've learned to help make sustainable building more accessible. Whether we're working with homeowners or fellow builders, our goal is the same: to encourage thoughtful decisions and inspire a more resilient built environment.

The Aerecura Team are passionate about their work. That passion comes through in the beauty and serenity of the homes they build.
