Rammed Earth Home, Designed by Terrell Wong of Stone’s Throw Design, Completed in 2009

This home is Ontario’s first insulated rammed earth home—a project that challenged conventional building practices and laid the foundation for everything Aerecura has built since.

For Sylvia and Steve, their vision of home extended beyond energy performance. Every decision was guided by a desire to build a home that would age gracefully, require little maintenance, and provide a healthy, enduring place to live that reflected their lifestyle and love for family gatherings.

More than fifteen years later, this home continues to perform exactly as it was intended. It remains a testament to the value of building for longevity and a milestone in Canadian natural building—a home that not only proved what was possible, but inspired the work that followed.
